Firebugs torch car near Chorley

Two crews from Chorley and Bamber Bridge were called when a car was torched on Higher House Lane, Heapey at around 4.22am on Sunday.

A spokesman said the fire had spread to a telegraph pole by the time they arrived.

They used two hose reels to put the fire out.

There were no casualties but police have been notified of the suspected arson.
