6. St Joseph's primary school netball team which won the Preston Primary Schools Netball Tournament. 8. Lancashire horse riders saddled up and rode off into the distance to take part in a marathon relay-ride to Banbury Cross. And the Mayor of Preston, Coun Harold Parker, raised a few horse laughs when he leapt on to a vacant steed and jogged around the Flag Market.
