The 30-year-old was arrested after two men broke into McColl's in Ribbleton Avenue at around 6.30am this morning (Monday, March 30).
A member of staff was threatened before the men fled with cash from the till.

Hide AdEarlier today, police officers and CSI visited the shop to conduct a crime scene investigation and a cordon was put in place around its entrance.
Police have not confirmed whether a weapon was used in this morning's incident.
Police said the 30-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of burglary, public order and criminal damage.
The investigation is ongoing as officers hunt for a second man.

Hide AdA police spokesman said: "It’s a break in. Happened at about 6.30am when two offenders broke into McColls, threatened a member of staff and stole cash.
"A 30-year-old man from Preston was arrested a short time later on suspicion of burglary, public order and criminal damage.
"Enquiries ongoing."

The same shop was robbed at knifepoint in October last year.
On October 28, 2019, at 5.15am, two men in balaclavas stormed the shop and threatened a member of staff before stealing cash and cigarettes.
No-one was injured in the robbery.
