Many will be waking up to flooding in Lancashire this morning, following stormy weather overnight.

Roads across the county have been closed due to localised flooding, with some transport services also affected.

Train services between Morecambe and Lancaster are delayed after lightning damaged the signalling system between overnight.

As a result, buses will be replacing trains between these stations until around 11am, said Northern.

Flooding in Coe Lane, Tarleton has forced the Stagecoach 2A service to divert from its normal route, meaning it is unable to serve the Cock & Bottle in Church Road.

Kirkham, Warton and Freckleton appear to have had some of the worst of the flooding, with policing having to shut the exit slip road at junction 3 of the M55 due to surface water.

In Kirkham, residents have reported waking up to find their cars soaked inside and flood water reaching their homes.
