Utiligroup in Chorley embark on three sporting tasks in memory of colleague
More than 50 employees, including the CEO have vowed to take part in at least one of these activities with some dedicated people hoping to complete all three to honour colleague James Higson, who died of cancer last year, aged 57.
So far, the team has raised more than £4,400 of Macmillan Cancer Support and Maggie’s Centres, who looked after James, but hope to boost funds to more than £6,000.

Hide AdLisa Martin, West Lancashire fund-raising Manager for Macmillan, said; “The Utiligroup team is hoping to take on a huge challenge with these various events and I want to wish them all the best of luck. Fund-raising today is definitely harder than it’s ever been, but the money raised from these events can make such a difference for people living with cancer. They will really make a difference to someone’s life.”
Sinead Collins, centre head at Maggie’s in Manchester, said: “We’re delighted to receive this support from Utiligroup – thanks to the team for taking on these fantastic challenges, with the generosity of all their supporters, we can help even more people to get the emotional, practical and social support that is so vitally important for people affected by cancer.”
