Preston North End need to win this afternoon as they host Birmingham City at Deepdale. The chances of reaching the play-offs are slim, especially with the run Alex Neil’s side are on, picking up just six points from a possible 21 since the resumption of the Championship season.
Six points from the final two games are must with the Lilywhites five points behind fifth-place Cardiff City with Millwall, Swansea and Bristol City still in the hunt. However it won’t be easy with Birmingham themselves desperate for points having dropped a place closer to the relegation zone after Huddersfield’s Friday night win.
